Here's some intelligence for your health that'll help make sure your teeth don't rot out of your head among other things. We got these tips from Woman's Day magazine.
First: Replace your toothbrush every 3 months, or as soon as the bristles begin to show wear. A worn toothbrush is less effective at removing food and plaque, and can cause damage to gum tissue. And always replace your toothbrush after you've been sick, since germs can linger in the bristles.
Next: Clean your inner ear once a week with a mixture of half water and half hydrogen peroxide. Pour a few drops into your ears before showering and then rinse it away. Never force a cotton swab into your ear canal to clean it you'll just pack the wax in there, and you might even puncture an eardrum.
Another health tip: Anytime you plan on being in the sun slap on the sunscreen. You need to apply it 30 minutes before you head outdoors and reapply it every 90 minutes for proper protection.
And finally: When it comes to flossing your teeth, you should spend 2 to 3 minutes carefully working the floss up, down and around each tooth at least once a day after brushing.
