A senior at a high school in Minnesota won’t have her senior portrait included in the yearbook because she posed with another person – her baby.
Stephanie Myer stayed in school, despite her pregnancy, and is graduating with her class at the end of year. She wanted to celebrate and remember her success by including her newborn in her senior photo.
But the school superintendent says, "We've never had a student pose with anyone else and we don't see a reason to start now.”
Myer says a senior photo should be allowed to represent who a student is... and administrators are now deciding what the final outcome will be – but think Myer’s picture glamorizes teen pregnancy.
What do you think: Should students have more control over their yearbook – and be allowed to pose with other people in their senior portrait? Or should all students have to conform to the same school district rules?
