I've got some numbers that can save your life

Because, for the most part, the state of your health comes down to numbers--Like your cholesterol, it should be less than 200. Your body mass index should be under 25. And the calories per day you should consume: 2,000. But here are some other stats you need to stay healthy from Fitness magazine:
  • How about 35--That's the waist size in inches that indicates obesity in women.
  • If your waist is 35 inches or more   remember this number 95--That's the number of calories you need to cut each day to lose 10 pounds in a year. How easy is that? Very. Eat four fewer pretzels. Eliminate an ounce of cheese--Forgo 2 chocolate chip cookies. But the reverse is also true   eating only 95 extra calories every day will pack on 10 pounds in a year.
  • The next health number you need to know: 24. 24 hours is the time it takes for your risk of heart disease to drop after you stop smoking. And after a few weeks, your coughing will dissipate, so will your shortness of breath, and your chances of contracting lung cancer.
  • One last health number: 7,000. That's the number of lives that could be saved annually if people buckled up each time they got in the car.
