If you work hard at your job, and you're single, dating probably takes a back seat to your career.
Well, it doesn't have to--You can succeed at BOTH if you put your business skills to use in your pursuit for romance. Here's how, compliments of Complete Woman magazine.
- Don't jump at the first offer. Do NOT settle for the wrong person just because you want to be in a relationship. Just like in the job world, entertain all your options before settling on a long-term choice.
- Don't get too comfortable too fast. Although you may have met your perfect mate, don't profess your undying love after a few dates. You're still in the learning phase so give them room to show you who they really are.
- Work toward a specific goal. Are you looking for a spouse of just a fling? Figure out what type of relationship you want before diving into the dating pool.
- Another way to put your business skills to work in the game of romance: Periodically re-evaluate your position. If you're always yawning when you're out with your mate, or looking at your watch, it might be time to move on. Just like a bad job, you're don't have to accept a relationship because you don't think you can do any better. You CAN - and you will.
