Here are some facts about pregnancy--
  • Did you know giving birth can make you smarter? New findings from the University of Richmond show that hormones produced during pregnancy, as well as the experience of caring for a child, stimulates the brain--The hormones improve learning ability and memory--
  • In other maternal news, an 8 year study from Sweden shows that severe nausea and vomiting during the first trimester of pregnancy may mean you're having a girl--
  • For the dads, when your wife goes into labor, bring her favorite CD to the hospital. According to a study done by Case Western Reserve University, music significantly reduces a woman's labor pains by relaxing her pelvic muscles.
  • And here's a new one we just heard-- If you experience a lot of stomach trouble during pregnancy, your baby will be born with hair on it's head. That's probably more of an old wives tale than a scientific fact, but I thought I'd pass it along anyway.
