If you've got a do-it-yourself person at home, there are all kinds of tools and equipment you can buy them

But if you want something really unusual, here's a list of do-it-yourself kits from Money Magazine that are really unbelievable.
  • Do-it-yourself taxidermy. It was invented by professional animal stuffer Dennis Theriault. He has seven types of taxidermy videos, including one on how to make lamps and gun racks from animal feet.
  • Then there's a do-it-yourself wig and toupée making kit. You get a video, a skull cap, and thousands of hairs you'll need to tie on - one strand at a time.
  • You can install your very own in-ground fiberglass swimming pool. All you need to do is decide where you're going to put it, map out the utility lines, build a retaining wall, dig a hole the size of a swimming pool, create a sand base, rent a crane to insert the pool shell, and pour a concrete deck. Sounds simple enough, right?
  • Or you could carve your own tombstone. Pick the words you want to inscribe, and you'll get a kit with a 1-by-2 foot black granite slab, a stencil, etching tool and instruction manual. They insist it only takes one day to complete   so you can make all your friends tombstones for Christmas!
If you're interested in any of the do-it-yourself kits mentioned, we've got some links set up over at Tesh .com.
