According to BBC News, kids are becoming more and more tech-savvy. A new survey finds that nearly 9 out of 10 teenagers use the Internet that's up a whopping 74% over the past 5 years. And while email is the most popular way for adults to communicate online, most teens prefer to instant message their friends.
About 75% of teenagers use IM. They say it's cooler because features like "buddy icons" allow them to express their personality. Let's say your friend Ashley is a huge Johnny Depp fan. When she's online, she can have a picture of Johnny Depp pop up on the screen while she's cyber-chatting with you.
