There's a dance & fitness studio in Canada offering a pole dancing class to kids. So far, several boys & girls have been signed up - some as young as 5-years-old. The instructor says it's a good workout for kids - and the kids don't see it as something inappropriate. They don't know it's a fitness routine that started at 'gentleman's clubs.' It's only adults who view it as something lewd and negative. And 'pole fitness' is being legitimized. There's a Pole Fitness Association, and there's even been talk of making pole fitness an Olympic sport.
So what do you think? Is this wildly inappropriate? Or has pole fitness evolved to the point where it's lost its stigma & it's fine for kids to do a pole workout?
