Here are some handy facts about the java you love, courtesy of Organic Style magazine.
  • If you add 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon to your coffee every day, the U.S. Department of Agriculture says you'll reduce your blood sugar levels by about 20 percent, and improve your cholesterol.
  • If you want to fertilize your flowerbeds naturally, you can pick up free 5-pound bag of old coffee grounds at any Starbucks. They have a year-round "Grounds for Your Garden" program to help people with their horticulture hobby.
And finally, forget the paper cups. Get your coffee fix in a reusable mug--If all the people who listen to this radio show sipped their coffee from a travel mug   for just one week   we'd save enough trees to fill two football fields.
But if a whole week is too much of a commitment for you, try switching for just a single day. That'll save as much energy as using 1,000 gallons of gasoline.
