When Is The Right Time To Do Daily Tasks
They say timing is everything. but when is the best time of the day to do certain things? Here’s the scoop from Real Simple .com:
- If you’ve got to clean the house, the best time to do it is 4pm. You’re more likely to whistle while you window wash because this is when hand-eye coordination is at its peak and mood levels are high. Also, you don’t want to be kicking up all that dust in the morning when your family’s nasal allergy symptoms are at their most sensitive!
- Best time to take your daily multivitamin? With your breakfast! The pill is better absorbed with food. You can get queasy taking one on an empty stomach. But taking a multivitamin at dinnertime is the WORST time of the day because some nutrients like vitamin B may keep you awake at night.
- What about the best time to take Fido or Fifi for a walk? Between 8pm and 9pm. The experts say you’re likely to have more time to spend in the evening than in the morning, when you’re rushing to work or to get on with the other errands. And you dog will sleep more soundly if they get exercised at night.
- And finally, the best time to read and retain the information? Either 8 AM or ten PM. Eight AM is when your instant recall is at its height – so kids, go ahead and cram a bit more before an early test. But if you want that information to get lodged forever in your brain, at 10pm you’re ability to retain what you read is the strongest. Your memory depends on nucleic acids which fluctuate during the day – that’s why your brain doesn’t store information with the same efficiency all day, it has peaks and valleys. So the college kids got it right. Staying up and studying at night, combined with a quick review in the morning is your best bet for test situations.
