Here's some intelligence for the easy life.

These quick tips are from the folks at First magazine:
  • First, if you want to be more focused at work, stick photos of your friends and family all over your desk. Why? Because images of loved ones spark brain-waves that help you stay calm and alert.
  • Then, here's the secret to making great hamburgers. Put the patties in the freezer for 3 minutes before grilling. Why on Earth should you do that? Well, the cold helps them hold their shape, so you'll have a party-perfect burger for every bun.
  • Also, keep your kitchen ant-free with cayenne pepper. Once a month, sprinkle it in doorways, on windowsills, or any point of entry--Just one whiff, and the whole ant army will go somewhere else for food and water--
  • And the final quick tip is--If you want beautiful roses, slip 'em a banana peel. Chop up the peels, and bury them about 1 inch deep at the base of each rosebush. The peels contain phosphorus, magnesium, sulfur and sodium - minerals that'll give your roses a real growth spurt.
