• Another career killer: Playing office politics. Sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong will cripple and even destroy your career. And when you're enmeshed in the nastiness, you'll forget to focus on getting the job done.
• A lack of results will also kill your career. Not having anything to show for the work you've done is one of the surest ways to stunt your rise up the corporate ladder.
• Not working at a job you're passionate about. Some people tend to float through life and complain that they're not satisfied - without trying to figure out what might fulfill them.
• Thinking that money is everything. A great salary doesn't add up to happiness. In fact, money means very little if you're truly UN-happy. So make sure you leave your wallet at the door when deciding what you REALLY want to do with your life.
