Gas prices may be going through the roof,But some people are getting their gas for free. How? By turning their cars into rolling billboards!

  • Here’s what we found out from CBS News: There’s a website called "FreeGasHelp.com", and it pairs up drivers with advertisers. To qualify for the program, you need to drive at least a thousand miles a month, your car has to be in good condition, and you must be the registered, fully-insured owner.

  • The advertiser supplies the ads – everything from bumper stickers to door magnets to complete car coverage – like those giant shrink-wrap pictures plastered on city buses. And just for driving your rolling billboard on your commute or to run errands, you can get up to $200 dollars in free gas a month.

  • Mike Amico, a demolition contractor in Brooklyn, New York, turned his Hummer into a giant ad, and gets a monthly gift card for his favorite gas station. He points out that NASCAR drivers splash sponsors’ ads all over their cars, so why can’t he?

  • So, what if you don’t want ads all over your car, you’re not completely outta luck.

  • Several hotel and motel companies have free gasoline offers, too. For example, if you book multiple night stays through "Hotels.com" or "Bed and Breakfast.com", you’ll get a $25 dollar gasoline rebate.
